The Fountain of Youth

For centuries unending, there have been tales, legends and sonnets were written describing the Fountain of Youth, and its numerous healing and regenerative powers. However, some have claimed that these are just mere fantasies that need to be rubbished else one gets carried away into a world of dungeons and dragons. On the contrary, I certainly believe in a fountain of youth. Now, before you judge me to be some sort of lunatic living in a world of my own imagination, let me clarify my stance. I strongly hold that not only has the fountain of youth been existent, but it has also been so for ages unending. If you are still a bit sceptical, turn your Bibles to"the water I give.....will become a spring of water welling up to eternal life." There you have it; The Fountain of Youth!! 
In our present scenario with the explosion of the pandemic 'coronavirus', this fountain of youth is our one firm hope. Having recourse to Him will help us enjoy the healing and regenerative powers of Jesus. But, let us not restrict this hope only to ourselves. We ought to share it with others. And so, I urge you to spend a few moments every day praying for those suffering from the dreaded COVID-19 and those who may contract it. Let us pray that we may be protected from this deadly virus through the Fountain of Youth: JESUS!!

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner and the buzz around the new Sara Ali Khan-Kartik Aaryan starrer, Love Aaj Kal, I began pondering as to what is that one love that has been present yesterday, today and continues. While I have read and heard one too many talks on ‘Jesus the Perfect Valentine’, I believe the more important theme we could look at is Jesus’ never-ending love for us. At the outset, Johnston says that this book provides a glimpse into what theology is all about. It introduces key ideas of the theologians of various areas and what were the questions that gripped them at their particular times. The book is meant to provide the foundations for the reader to think theologically.
