Positive Overtones

  The year-end blockbuster went almost hidden because of the raving success of MCU's Spiderman: No Way Home. But, the movie is so beautifully made and well thought of. Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity with a  host of other actors and actresses either taking on existing roles or donning on new ones. In the new world, Neo is a game designer of a very popular game 'The Matrix' (a copy of his past experiences in the prequels). Teaming up with his partner Smith, Thomas Anderson begins working on a new game that goes in line with 'The Matrix'. In the process of all this, Neo begins to experience hallucinations. He is advised by his psychiatrist to continue his medication with the blue pills to help curb this illness. However, after Neo meets Morpheus and consumes the red pills, he begins to see reality for what it really is, awakening from the imaginative slumber he has been in.  We have always prided ourselves on being the human race; because unlike other living beings, we are ‘conscious’. Capable of rational thinking and feeling emotions, capable of unlimited learning; able to form and develop new ideas, philosophies, inventions and the like. We are ever seeking further development and progress in all walks of life to move ahead into the future. But, we are so caught up in this rat race of innovation that we almost wilfully, fail to notice/observe the dark shadows of our past.
